How It Works
Bookings open only when aurora conditions look promising (usually 1 - 3 days in advance).
Each chase is limited to 8 participants for a personal, small-group experience.
You’ll need your own vehicle (or join a carpool). Transportation is coordinated but not provided, participants are responsible for their own travel. A link for carpool coordination will be posted here once the booking link is active.
The fee covers guiding, real-time aurora tracking, and expert night-sky photography support. (Park entrance fees, if any, are not included.)
Updates and real-time info are shared on Instagram stories and the Ottawa Night Sky Collective Discord channel. Booked participants also gain access to a private group chat for chase-night coordination.

What to Bring
Your own car if possible (carpooling encouraged!). Drivers who take fellow participants receive a $10 discount.
Cozy layers: nights can get cold. Warm clothing, hats, gloves, and comfortable hiking shoes or boots are strongly recommended, as some dark-sky locations may require hiking over natural terrain.
A camera + tripod if you’d like to photograph the aurora.
Snacks, drinks, and anything else to stay comfortable on the road.
Good to Know
Events usually run from early evening until after midnight, depending on aurora predictions.
Final meeting point and directions are shared privately with confirmed participants via Discord.
Beginners are welcome: no astronomy or photography experience is required.
Locations may vary depending on cloud cover and weather, usually within 2 hours of Ottawa (Ontario or Quebec).
All participants must sign the liability waiver at checkout before attending.

Weather & Cancellation Policy: If skies are fully clouded, roads are unsafe, or other conditions prevent the chase, the event will be fully refunded.
